Andi Peters is being lined up as a Gladiator.The former childrens' TV presenter, who is a renowned fitness fanatic, is wanted by producers to star in the revamped version of the hit 90s show 'Gladiators'.A source said: "Andi would make a great Gladiator - he could be called Duckie after his old CBBC sidekick, Ed the Duck."Andi - whose toned torso graced the cover of Men's Health magazine - was the series producer for 'Gladiators' spin-off show, 'Gladiators: Train To Win' and was also a contestant on hit reality show 'Dancing On Ice'.It was recently revealed 'Gladiators' - which saw members of the public battle against trained athletes in a variety of tough challenges - was making a sensational return to British TV screens.Producers are currently holding auditions to find 12 new Gladiators who will follow in the footsteps of old favourites Jet, Wolf, Rhino, Lightening and Hunter, who had an affair with original host Ulrika Jonsson.They are also hoping Scottish referee John Anderson - famed for his "Gladiators ready" shout - will return.
