We haven't got long to wait until we see Gal Gadot take on the role of Wonder Woman for the first time in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
While we are still not quite sure where she fits into the story or how big a role she will play in the film, Gadot has made it quite clear that her character is not relying on a man and is not there as part of a love story.
Speaking to Glamour about the film and her role, the actress said: "For BvS it was important for me that we show how independent she is. She is not relying on a man, and she's not there because of a love story.
"She's not there to serve someone else. She has so many strengths and powers, but at the end of the day she's a woman with a lot of emotional intelligence. She's loving."
Gadot is one of the big new additions to the Dawn of Justice cast list as she teams up with Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck for the first time.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to hit the big screen at the end of the month and is one of the most anticipated films of 2016. It looks on course to hit the billion dollar mark and could be one of the biggest grossing films of the year.
Gadot is no stranger to the blockbuster with a series of Fast & Furious roles under her belt, but this will be the biggest film role of her career to date.
And she is set to continue that role as filming is already under way on a solo Wonder Woman film - it is set to hit the big screen in 2017.
Patty Jenkins is in the director's chair while Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, and David Thewlis will all star alongside Gadot.
We have already seen the actress in Triple 9 this year and she is set to return to the big screen in crime/drama Criminal.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is released 25th March.
