Jessica Chastain will star in 'Miss Julie'.
The 31-year-old actress has landed the lead opposite Colin Farrell in Liv Ullmann's big screen version of August Strindberg's play about an upper class woman who falls for her servant.
The story is set over the course of one night at a Swedish count's estate in 1874 and centres around the count's daughter, the titular Miss Julie, who is desperate to escape her rigid existence.
She decides to abandon high society rules by attending a party thrown by her staff, and finds herself charmed by a senior servant named Juan (Colin).
Samantha Morton has also been cast as the household cook, Christine.
In-demand actress Jessica has been nominated for a second Oscar for her role as CIA agent Maya in Kathryn Bigelow's 'Zero Dark Thirty' and has starred in a whopping seven films since her first 2011 Academy Award nomination for 'The Help'.
She can currently be seen in Guillermo del Toro's terrifying horror flick 'Mama' and is due to feature in 'The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby' opposite James McAvoy later this year.
Colin Farrell most recently starred in 'Seven Psychopaths' and will appear in 2013's 'Dead Man Down', 'A Winter's Tale' and 'Saving Mr Banks'.
