Eva Green has landed the lead in 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For'.
The former Bond girl will play the titular dame, Ava Lord, in the follow-up to 2005's gritty film noir, beating off stiff competition from the likes of Angelina Jolie to play the manipulative femme fatale.
Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller said in a statement: "Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City. From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green."
French actress Eva's character is billed as a beautiful woman who lets her former lover, photographer Dwight (Josh Brolin), be framed for the murder of her wealthy husband.
Up-and-coming 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower' star Julia Garner has also joined the cast as a stripper who enters the life of gambler Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt).
The stellar ensemble already includes Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba and Rosario Dawson as well as newcomers to the franchise Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ray Liotta and Juno Temple.
