Christina Applegate hasn't been approached for the 'Anchorman' sequel.
Although the 40-year-old actress, who played Veronica Corningstone in the 2004 original alongside Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, has been linked to the follow up, she has not yet received an offer and admitted she has no idea what's happening with the movie.
She told E! News: "I really don't know the status or if it's all going to happen."
However, Christina revealed she would love to reunite with Will and rest of the cast and will happily take any part in the film.
She said: "Of course I would love to be there. They know that. The world knows that. Why would I not want to? It's the best job I've ever had. They know that I want to be there. Even if it's just a walk-on."
Christina still has time to sign up for the film as writer/director Adam McKay has previously revealed it won't start shooting until February 2013.
After Will announced the eagerly anticipated follow-up by making a surprise appearance on TV show 'Conan', dressed as his alter-ego, Adam took to his twitter account to confirm the news and reveal a start date.
He wrote: "A few people questioning if Anchorman 2 is 100 per cent for sure happening. Let me assure and assuage: it is. We're writing now and we shoot in Feb (sic)."
It has also been revealed that Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd will reprise their roles of Brick Tamland and Brian Fantana respectively in the sequel.
