Blazers and jeans are two essentials that should be in everyone’s wardrobe. These two pieces can be easily mixed and matched to create the perfect look fit for a day of shopping or a big night out. What’s amazing about these two pieces is there are so many different versions such as oversized blazers, mom jeans, cropped blazers, straight leg jeans, tailored blazers, the list is endless. I’ve picked 5 different pieces of clothing that you can style with blazers and jeans. So here are 5 mix and match outfits you can put together with ease and with items already in your wardrobe.

Jumper

A great way to style a blazer is to layer up underneath, one way to easily do this is to add a hoodie or a jumper. I would recommend opting for a white, neutral or black colour as they can be easily matched with most coloured blazers. To style for a casual day time look start with a pair of blue mom jeans (if you like the ripped versions this would add an extra edge to the look), a white hoodie and a beige oversized blazer. Complete the look with chunky white trainers, a small shoulder bag and rectangular sunglasses for the ultimate street style perfect for trips to the pub or a long day of running errands.

Shirt

A classic way to style a blazer is to put a shirt on underneath but it does not have to be boring! This season is all about pops of colour such as emerald green and hot pink so try and incorporate this into your look. The easiest way to style a statement shirt is to keep the rest of the look neutral so all eyes are drawn to the loud shirt. For instance if you wanted to style a green shirt opt for a pair of straight leg blue jeans, a white linen blazer and accessorise with chunky gold jewellery. You can even keep the gold theme going right down to your shoes, keep it simple with sandals or sliders.

Belted

An easy way to mix up and refresh your outfits almost everyday is to add different belts that can be around the waist or on the hips. It is a great way to add a little bit of glamour and channel the off duty model vibe that has taken over. To style take a neutral oversized blazer, pair with some straight leg black jeans and take a gold chunky chain belt and place it around the waist to cinch in and create an hourglass silhouette. You can add heels and a quilted bag for a night out look or add chunky trainers and a large handbag  for a day of shopping.

Corset

I may be biased but jeans and a corset top is my favourite combination. It is the easiest day to night look that can be dressed up and dressed down easily. I would recommend getting a few options that are long sleeved, strapless and spaghetti strap so there is a bit of variety for any occasion or temperature. To style a strapless corset top, begin with a pair of white tailored trousers, add a black strapless corset top for an easy monochrome look. You can also add in some gold jewellery and white heels to complete the evening look. For a more dressed down look layer a spaghetti strap corset over a turtleneck top, add mom jeans and chunky trainers for a relaxed fit.

Bralette

This is another example of the mode of duty look jeans blazer and a bralette is so simple but so effective. If you pair a small bralette with oversized clothing it can make you look even smaller and highlight your figure. The best way to style it to match a plain black bralette with a beige oversized blazer and blue boyfriend jeans. For a dressed up look add lace up heels which can be wrapped over the jeans around the ankle creating a cuff and then match with a clutch bag. For a toned down look add chunky trainers and a cross body bag for a street wear look.
