With the skincare industry reaching over $183 billion by the year 2025, there are gobs of products out there to try. I have tried so many of them over the years to give my readers the scoop on the science behind each of these skincare innovations. All of these have been in the form of something I’ve applied to my skin.
That’s why when I heard about the brand-new skincare drink from Japan that has been taking the beauty industry by storm, I was instantly mesmerized. I could drink my way to more beautiful and youthful skin? This was something I simply had to see.
What OMONO is...
The brand is called OMONO, and it differs from other skincare products because it touts “beauty from within.” Traditional beauty products are applied topically, while OMONO put the focus for the ingredients to target inside working outward for smoother skin. It seems to take that old adage of “you are what you eat” to heart, promoting only scientifically-backed ingredients in the formulation.
Naturally, I was curious about how it stacked up compared to the traditional skincare products I’ve used. I reached out and received a reply from Savannah Lindsay, the US rep for the brand. Along with the chance to try it, she gave me a little more backstory on the brand.
“OMONO was developed and formulated in our laboratories, the result of over two decades of scientific research alongside clinical studies on skin structure and what works to keep it youthful. The ingredients are all natural and back by this research, capable of achieving perfect skin through internal nourishment to give it what it’s been missing,” she explained.
Glamour even called it “an elixir of eternal youth.”
After researching the ingredients...
Before starting my trial, I took the time to look into the ingredients inside the product. I liked that the company was very transparent in letting me know what was in it. Plus it is made in GMP-certified labs, and has been tested and approved by the HACCP. Not many products can attest to that.
Some of the key ingredients are collagen, which through my research, I found that the only way it’s effective is through ingestion; astaxanthin, a potent antioxidant that aids in anti-wrinkle and UV protection; hyaluronic acid, a natural component in the body that depletes over time and by ingesting it, replenishes it to youthful measures; and elastin which works like collagen in that it needs to be taken internally, and when it is, restores suppleness and firmness to skin, according to studies.
The scientific evidence certainly stacked up. Next, it was time for me to put it to the test and see if it really made any difference.
My experience using OMONO
OMONO offers a 60-day money-back guarantee so you can drink it each day and have time to tell if you’re pleased with the results. I committed to mixing it into my morning beverage as directed and took notes on what I found.
Each day, I really tried not to think about it so I could keep an open mind either way. I noticed I felt energetic each day after drinking it. It has a refreshing taste that made it enjoyable. After two weeks of religiously drinking it once per day, my skin was showing incredible signs of improvement. It looked brighter, tighter, and plumper. It suddenly made sense to me why Japanese women have such youthful skin even as they age.
After a full month, I was convinced that OMONO really did it as it claimed to do. And after 2 months, I had to get my hands on more of it. I was not expecting such a drastic change but I learned from my experiment that beauty needs to go beyond skin-deep and start from within to get these kinds of results.
I felt as though my skin was better hydrated, less muddy-looking, and had a certain… glow to it.
As much as I liked OMONO for the results, the downside is that it does take time to see results. I really didn’t notice much until two weeks in. It requires patience so if you’re looking for a quick-fix for those fine lines and wrinkles, it might not be for you.
Overall, I was very happy I tried OMONO. It gave the results it promised, and while it is a little bit pricey on the onset, I found it balanced out to be a better value than other skincare products I’ve tried.
The main purpose of this product is to improve your skin. That’s not the only reason I love it; it has so many other benefits as well. It saves me time in the morning, money from not spending it on random products, and it’s drastically made my life less complicated.
Oh, yeah – and my skin has never looked better.
