Summer's in full swing and Brits are estimated to eat a whopping 1.65 billion ice creams throughout the much-loved sunny season. As one of the nation's go-to treats, Ocado have teamed up with gastro-physicist Jozef Youssef to create a unique menu of treats that will help your hangover, improve gut health and boost energy levels, using an unusual yet incredible bunch of 63 ingredients, all from Ocado.

Speaking about the collaboration, Youssef said: "Combining my wealth of expertise and flair for creativity with the breadth of products available on Ocado, really enabled us to devise a stand-out, innovative menu to suit all manner of moods. Ice cream is a food so many of us enjoy and indulge in for numerous reasons, so we purposely created pairings to ensure that each individual could choose an ice cream serving perfectly suited to them."

The partnership came after research commissioned by Ocado found that almost half (47%) of people in the UK associate ice cream with happiness, whilst 46% of those polled admitted to eating ice cream when they're looking for comfort.

Furthermore, a massive 76% said ice cream was what they'd pick up if they were searching for contentment, with 52% saying the delicious treat brought back happy memories and, 46% indulging if they wanted to feel a scoop of nostalgia.

Laura Harricks, Chief Customer Officer at Ocado Retail at Ocado said: “Our research shows the extent of Brits’ long love affair with ice cream. It’s been great to team up with Jozef to create a unique menu of ice cream servings to suit the wide range of moods that we all experience – whether you’re hungover, need an energy boost or are feeling nostalgic. Ocado has the widest range of products of any supermarket and these wonderful ice cream recipes really show that off. Across the ten servings, there’s 63 ingredients, and with almost 50,000 products on our website, there’s an Ocado just for you no matter what your favourite combination might be.”
