Expectations of a girls trip to Paris are high thanks to Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen.

If you're just as obsessed with Gossip Girl now as you were over a decade ago when it began, you will be pleased to know that you can enjoy a weekend in the French capital being Blair Waldorf by visiting some of the filming locations for yourself.

Option: You can be Serena instead, if you don't want to live in her shadow...

Either way, the premiere of Gossip Girl season 4 sets the bar high, but you really can spend the Summer with your best friend in true S and B style - so long as you nail that ‘the world is mine and everyone else lives in it’ attitude and always have a Chanel in hand.

Maybe don’t opt for the MIA ex-boyfriend part of it, and you can really enjoy the sights which were key filming spots for the Parisian episodes.

Where to explore, though? Some of these do come under the trendy sights which are popular with everyone - Gossip Girl fan or not - because, even Blair Waldorf is partial to a bit of mainstream tourism. But only the die-hard GG fans will pack their bags for destination La Sorbonne - we doubt there are as many people who go to Paris to take a selfie outside the University, as there are who go to 'pinch' the Eiffel Tower.

Musee D’Orsay

Edouard Manet’s Le Dejeuner sur l'herbe, a favourite piece of artwork for Blair, is featured in Belles du Jour when she visit the Musee D’Orsay.

If you get the chance, go. There’s plenty more to do there alongside getting a picture of yourself pretending to wait for a Monégasque Prince to take your shoe… Nobody is stopping you from actually doing that, though.

Avenue Montaigne

A very recognisable location from the Paris episodes and certainly an insta-worthy setting for a GG-inspired picture.

Chanel purses and lipgloss at the ready for this close-up.

Musee Baccarat

Make a reservation and dine in the Cristal Room - the restaurant where the double date scene was filmed.

Glamorous surroundings, lavish decor and a  glistening chandelier are just some of the insta-worthy visuals you’ll find yourself in the centre of.

But this Parisian dining experience fit for an Upper East Sider doesn’t come cheap. With a menu boasting 19 euro snails - a full three-course might be a financial stretch, but there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself whilst you’re away...

Gare du Nord

If you didn’t cry, sorry, you’re not invited.

So this scene was from Double Identity and not Belles du Jour, but still - it’s one of the most unforgettable Blair and Chuck scenes to ever go down and it happened at the Gare du Nord.

Fontaine Louvois

That unforgettable moment when Blair pushes Serena into the fountain during the double date at the Baccarat can be relived, you might - or might not - be pleased to know.

Chez Julien

Whether you go for wine and nibbles, or croissants and coffee, what you must do is visit Chez Julien and talk about… well whatever you like. Just so long as you do it S & B style.

Easy on the wine, though - the price is in line with the sophistication and luxury that the setting boasts.

Le Baron Rouge

Remember when we found Chuck working an actual job?! Well that place is real, too.

The old-fashioned decor has a cosy feel, and what’s even more heart-warming is knowing that Ed Westwick has stood in that spot.
