The ‘I Feel Pretty’ star has 23-month-old son Gene with her husband Chris Fischer, and has said she’s keen to expand her brood and have a second tot soon.

When asked about having baby number two by guest host Ashley Graham on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, she said: "Oh God, I hope so. We're trying to figure it out. I mean, you know, it's like there's nothing better. Yeah. What about you?"

And Ashley – who has 15-month-old son Isaac with her husband Justin Ervin – is also hoping to expand her family, as she replied: "Working on it currently. Like in this moment currently working on it."

Meanwhile, Amy previously said she wouldn’t be able to carry any future children herself after the process of welcoming Gene via IVF was “really tough” on her.

In August, she explained: "We did IVF and IVF was really tough on me. I don't think I could ever do IVF again.

"I decided that I can't be pregnant ever again. We thought about a surrogate, but I think we're going to hold off for right now."

And although she has excess embryos from her IVF journey, Amy and her husband have been holding off on welcoming a second child because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She said in April: "We got these embryos, so I don't know. But right now, we were gonna try to make a move, but then COVID happened and I'm just kinda, like, walking back like, 'Okay, maybe we'll revisit that in a minute.’”

The ‘Trainwreck’ star also spoke about her IVF journey in February when she sent her “love and strength” to all “warrior women” going through a similar process.

She wrote on social media at the time: "I have so appreciated everyone sharing their Ivf stories with me. They made me feel empowered and supported. So I wanted to tell you how mine went down. So many women go through many rounds of ivf which is painful and mentally grueling. I heard from hundreds of women about their miscarriages and struggles and also many hopeful stories about how after rounds and rounds of ivf it worked!! It has been really encouraging. Thank you.

"Anyway I am so grateful for our son and that we have the resources to get help in this way. I just wanted to share and send love and strength to all of the warrior women who go through this process. (sic)”
